Investigation into embodied energy, embodied CO2 use

01 Jan 2013

Studio Pacific’s summer scholar for 2012/2013 was Building Science Masters’ Student, Brian Berg. Brian’s research extended the work of the previous summers.

Brian investigated embodied energy, embodied CO2 use, and used these results and the operational energy information from the 2011/12 research to analyse cost-benefit for a variety of construction and design strategies.

The lifecycle impacts of selected construction choices in 0, 50, 100 and 150 year life-cycles is provided.
