He Tohu Exhibition wins at the Designers Institute of New Zealand BEST Awards

It is with great pride that Studio Pacific announces that the He Tohu Exhibition team won a purple pin as the supreme winners of the overall Spatial category and a gold pin in the Public and Institutional Spaces Spatial category.

The judges said that “There is magic here! The design has a beautiful sequencing that reveals an inner sanctum harbouring our most treasured documents in a crafted and protective cocoon. The tactility of the ripple detail to the timber sends shivers up the spine. Exquisite detailing with considered integral lighting effects provide a technically brilliant solution”.

The wider He Tohu design team also won a gold pin for the Ngā Aho Award, and a bronze pin for the Public Good award. Studio Pacific also won a silver pin for 133 Molesworth Street, Wellington in the Repurposed Spaces Spatial category.

The awards took place at the Auckland Viaduct on Friday 6 October and showcased a very good year of design excellence, drawing on some very strong competition from multiple design disciplines from across the nation and overseas.

Congratulations to all the other finalists and winners on the night! You can see a full list of winners here.
