Work got underway today to relocate the historic Home of Compassion Crèche in Buckle Street, Wellington.
The 100-year-old crèche is being moved back from its current site slightly to make way for the portal to the Memorial Park underpass. This is currently under construction. The Relocation/Heritage Management Plan for the crèche was prepared by Studio Pacific Architecture. This video demonstrates how the crèche will be relocated.
