Senior Associate Lianne Cox will be presenting at the ICOMOS New Zealand AGM Conference on October 27th in Christchurch.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Figments and Fragments’ and aims to explore the intangible aspects of our heritage.
Lianne will be speaking about the impacts of the increased density proposed for the Tāmaki area, and how to maintain the heritage significance of this early state housing area. In effect, the masterplanning of the area is creating tomorrow’s fragments. With that in mind, what would the ideal fragment be?
Lianne’s talk will look at the history of the area, where the significance lies, and strategies for carrying this on in the future.
