Welcoming Eliana Brooking as Our TupuToa Intern for 2024/2025

This year, Eliana is working within LT McGuinness, an organisation who we have a long-term working relationship with.

With LT McGuinness, Eliana will gain hands-on experience on construction sites in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, along with experience in quality assurance and sustainability, building valuable skills for her future in the industry.

We’ve likened this arrangement to a kind of whāngai process—rooted in the Māori tradition of collective care and fostering. Just as in whāngai, we maintain a relationship with our intern, but have entrusted her growth and direct support to a close collaborator. This shared approach reflects our commitment to not only her success, but strengthens our relationship with TupuToa to broaden the partnership network.
