Evžen Novák, Fellow of Te Kāhui Whaihanga NZ Institute of Architects

A massive congratulations to Evžen Novák, who was made a Fellow of Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects at the Wellington Architecture Awards in May.

Being made a Fellow acknowledges the breadth and importance of his contributions to the profession, the Institute, and the practice of architecture.

On presentation of the fellowship, NZIA Past-President Judith Taylor said:

"Evžen Novák is a luminary in architecture in Aotearoa with a notable four-decade career. As a co-founder of Studio Pacific Architecture, he has led numerous transformative projects that have reshaped the architectural landscape of Aotearoa.

Within the community, Evžen is known as a provocateur who disrupts conventions and fuels innovation. His advocacy for sustainable design and his pioneering role in mass timber construction underscore this. His mentorship, leadership and advocacy for inclusivity and gender parity further evidence his commitment to our community. This fellowship celebrates Evžen’s career and dedication to the betterment of architectural practice in Aotearoa."

Once again, a heartfelt congratulations, Evžen! Your advocacy, mahi, and willingness to share your time, knowledge, and experiences with us are greatly appreciated. We are incredibly thankful for your contributions and look forward to your continued impact in the architecture industry and at Studio Pacific.
