We're pleased to share that Hangar 4 has been shortlisted in the Commercial Architecture category at the 2026 New Zealand Architecture Awards.
Designed for Air New Zealand at Auckland Airport, Hangar 4 brings together aircraft maintenance, engineering, and support functions within a purpose-built facility.
The project responds to the complex operational demands of aircraft maintenance while creating a safe, efficient workplace for the people who keep New Zealand's fleet in the air. Balancing large-scale industrial requirements with carefully considered staff spaces, the design supports both operational performance and day-to-day wellbeing.
Being recognised by the New Zealand Institute of Architects acknowledges the collaborative effort behind the project. We'd like to thank Air New Zealand and the wider consultant and construction team for their partnership throughout the project, and congratulate all of this year's finalists.
