Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington
Toby is a registered architect in New Zealand with experience in residential, commercial architecture, and masterplanning.
Toby has a keen interest in the interdisciplinary aspects of architecture and the environment, and how they coexist holistically. While completing his master’s thesis at Victoria University of Wellington, Toby explored how the agency of a steep site could ‘author’ design specifically within the context of Queenstown. The aim of his research was to amplify and showcase the authoring ability a steep site could have on an architectural outcome while enhancing the relationship between the built and natural environment.
Since graduating in 2018, Toby has worked on a variety of residential, commercial, and masterplanning projects.
