Marc Woodbury Joins 2025 Wellington Architecture Awards Jury

Studio Pacific is pleased to share that Marc Woodbury, Senior Principal and Lead of our Commercial Buildings team, has been selected as a juror for the 2025 Wellington Architecture Awards.

A Registered Architect in New Zealand for over 25 years, Marc has extensive experience leading commercial and community projects, giving him a deep understanding of how design shapes both the built environment and the communities who interact with it.

Organised by Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA), the Local Architecture Awards recognise the best new architecture in eight regional branches. Winning projects from these awards may go on to be considered for further honours at a national level, making them an important platform for celebrating architectural excellence across Aotearoa.

The shortlist was compiled by a jury led by architect Ben Jagersma of First Light Studio, and rounded out by Marc Woodbury (Studio Pacific Architecture), Raphaela Rose (ahha), Ruby Somerville (Cheshire Architects), and lay juror Andy Spain.

As part of the jury panel, Marc has recently visited and assessed a diverse range of projects across the Wellington region. Reflecting on the opportunity, Marc says: "The Local Architecture Awards are a fantastic way to celebrate the breadth of design talent in our region. It has been a pleasure to visit the projects, see the ideas and innovation behind them, and recognise the work of my peers in shaping Wellington’s built environment."

We look forward to seeing the projects recognised in this year’s awards!
