Brendon is a registered architect in New Zealand with over 20 years of experience in architecture, interior design, and policy writing for housing and urban development. He joined the Studio Pacific architecture team in 2021, where he has played a pivotal role in establishing the growing Tāmaki office. Brendon has served as the site architect for several apartment building and townhouse projects at Hobsonville Point and Air New Zealand Hangar 4.

Brendon operates with a simple yet profound desire to produce buildings of poetic beauty and place. He believes in the responsibility to create buildings and urban environments that engage with people and the landscape, both visually and sustainably. He has a particular interest in sustainable housing and urban development, viewing these as critical to New Zealand’s ability to cope with the climate and social challenges we face.

Living in Japan has strongly influenced Brendon's design philosophies, and he has presented on Japanese architecture, urban response, and culture at NZIA events. His wide-ranging experience includes community, commercial, education, and residential projects, from large new schools, apartments, and terrace housing to bespoke new houses, baches, and smaller renovation projects on existing houses.

Brendon's designs have won Te Kāhui Whaihanga NZIA Architecture Awards in the Residential, Community, Sustainable, Interior, and Alterations/Additions categories. He has also served as a judge for these awards.
