Marcellus is the Rōpū Lead of our Workplace, Interiors & Heritage team. He is a registered Architect in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, with over 25 years of extensive experience across a range of sectors and award-winning projects within the studio.

Since joining Studio Pacific in 2003, Marcellus has led residential, commercial, museum and airport terminal projects, along with a range of significant commercial interiors projects.

Marcellus was appointed Senior Principal in 2023 and has extensive design management experience of project teams within the Studio, as well as management of conceptual work, programming and wider consultant teams.

He has travelled extensively and maintains a keen interest in design and the delivery of projects through the role of Project Architect, across a variety of procurement frameworks including management contracting, alliancing, design and build and traditional procurement methods.

Within the practice, he has led the systems requirement process, operated as the Management Health & Safety Representative within the Wellbeing, Health & Safety Working Group, and instituted the Safety in Design process in response to the new Health & Safety at Work Act 2015.
